"Dragon Quest 12" Hinted to Be Compatible with Nintendo Switch 2

During the Napoli Comic Con, Yuji Horii, the creator and game director of the "Dragon Quest" series, was interviewed. When asked about the possibility of the series' new installment, "Dragon Quest 12: The Flames of Fate Chosen", launching on the Nintendo Switch 2, Horii didn't give a definite answer but dropped a strong hint. He said, "Yes, I think it should also be compatible with the Switch 2 platform."

This statement has sparked great excitement among fans. Since the reveal of the teaser trailer for "Dragon Quest 12" during the 35th - anniversary live - stream of the series in May 2021, players have been eagerly waiting for more news. However, development details have been scarce, with no real - game screenshots released yet, leaving fans in anticipation.

 

Despite not sharing any information about the development progress, Horii's comment about the Switch 2 compatibility gives fans hope. Considering the successful port of "Dragon Quest 11" to the Switch, which even had exclusive features, it seems likely that "Dragon Quest 12" will make its way to the Switch 2. As the gaming community awaits further announcements from the developers, Horii's words have added fuel to the speculation about the future of this highly - anticipated RPG.
